Tower 17 Ladder

Tower 17 is 2012 Ferrara HD-100 Mid Mount Platform ladder truck. Tower 17 is equipped with a 2000 GPM pump, 300 gallon water tank and seats 5. Tower 17 is stationed at Headquarters station. Tower 17 responds primarily to commercial structure fires, commercial fire alarms, special rescue situations and automatic aid with the City of Columbia Fire Department. Tower Ladder 17 is also equipped with a stokes basket for high/low angle rescue incidents as well as swift and static water rescue.

Ladder 175

Ladder 175 is a 2011 Ferrara rear mount ladder truck. Truck 175 is equipped with a 77ft straight stick ladder, 1250 GPM pump, 300 gallon water tank and seats 4. Truck 175 is stationed at Headquarters station. Ladder 175 responds primarily to fire alarms, residential structure fires, EMS calls, Technical rescue situations and vehicle accidents in IFD’s main response area as well as the Northwest side of Columbia. Ladder 175 serves as a multi purpose rescue truck for the district as well as the CFD. Truck 175 holds a multitude of vehicle extrication tools, haz-mat materials as well as static and swift water rescue equipment.


Engine Co. 171

Engine 171 is a 2012 Ferrara rescue pumper. Engine 171 is equipped with a 1500 GPM pump, 1000 gallon water tank, 40 gallon on board foam tank and seats 5. Engine 171 is stationed at Headquarters Station. Engine 171 responds primarily to fire alarms, structure fires, grass fires, car fires, vehicle accidents and EMS Calls in IFD’s main response area as well as the Northwest side of Columbia.



Ranger 17

Ranger 17 is a quick response vehicle.

Boat 17 is assigned to HQ.

Northlake

Engine Co. 172

Engine 172 is a 2012 Ferrara rescue pumper. Engine 172 is equipped with a 1500 GPM pump, 1000 gallon water tank, 40 gallon foam tank and seats 5. Engine 2 is stationed at Northlake Station. Engine 172 responds primarily to fire alarms, structure fires, grass fires, car fires, vehicle accidents, EMS calls and automatic aid with the City Of Columbia Fire Department. Engine 172 carries a five gas detector as well a compliment of vehicle extrication tools. Engine 172 also carries drafting equipment as well as static water rescue equipment.



Engine Co. 173

Engine 173 is a 2000 Pierce Dash. Engine 173 is equipped with 1250 GPM Pump, 1000 gallon water Tank and seats 5. Engine 173 is stationed at Northlake station. Currently Engine 173 is a reserve engine and is placed in service when engine 171 or 172 goes out of service.



Administration Vehicles

Irmo Fire 1

Fire 1 serves as the Chiefs vehicle. The fire chief responds primarily to working incidents within the IFD and works within the ICS structure as the incident grows.

Irmo Fire 2

Irmo Fire 2 is a 2013 Chevy Tahoe, Irmo Fire 2 can serve as a command vehicle. Containing a full command box in the rear. Asst. Fire Chief of Operations Clyde Thomas currently operates the vehicle.

Irmo Fire 3

Fire 3 serves as the Assistant Chiefs vehicle. Asst. Fire Chief of Administration Ben Smith currently operates the vehicle.

Irmo Battalion Chief 17

Irmo Battalion 17 is a 2012 Chevy Tahoe. The Irmo Battalion vehicle is equipped with all the necessary equipment needed to run a fire ground incident. Just like Irmo Fire 2's vehice there is a command Box in the rear of the vehicle as well as multiple MDT's (Mobil Data Terminals). The Irmo Battalion Chief is responsible for running the initial command of an incident. The Battalion Chief is stationed at Irmo Northlake and is normally assigned to structure fires and special rescue calls.

Irmo Marshal 1

Irmo Fire Districts Marshal 1 vehicle is operated by Fire Marshal Brian Haley.

Support 1

Support 1 is an SUV

Support 2

Support 2 is a full size pick-up truck support unit. Currently support 2 is assigned to the Northlake Station. Support 2 has 4x4 off road & winch capabilities if needed.
