This time last week we celebrated the retirement of Battalion Chief Brad Well! Chief Well began his career with us as a volunteer more than 27 years ago and retired Friday morning, September 27th, with the rank of Battalion Chief. He was in command of the shift that was on duty during Hurricane Helene’s visit to Irmo, in fact it was his last shift on duty. It’s symbolic of his service that he went home after his last shift having been awake and working for over 24 hours. We are thankful for his many years of service and the memories made along the way! Please join us in congratulating Chief Well on a tremendous career and wishing him a wonderful retirement. We’ll miss you, Chief! Watch out for those dogs!
