Today, members from IFD stepped up to the plate- not just for the win, but for a powerful cause. Battle of the Badges is a charity softball tournament benefitting Law Enforcement Chaplaincy for South Carolina (LECSC) and South Carolina First Responder Assistance and Support Team (SC FAST). Both of these nonprofit organizations provide mental health support for first responders. Kicking things off in style, Irmo Fire Chief Sonefeld threw out the ceremonial first pitch! The team brought the heat in their first game and secured a WIN against Columbia Fire and, overall, finished fourth in the tournament.
