There was a two for one special on roadway incidents this evening – we worked worked two at the same time.
Irmo Fire crews worked an incident in the 1500 block of Fork Ave. A single vehicle left the roadway and ended up on its side in a ditch, trapping the driver inside. While fire crews worked to remove the patient from the vehicle, Lexington County EMS crews were treating the patient for minor injuries. The roadway remained closed for some time.
Additionally, a wreck on North Lake Drive at East Passage briefly had a lane blocked. No injuries were sustained in this incident.
Seatbelts and airbags made a difference today, make sure you wear your seatbelt!
