Irmo Fire “C” Shift Crews, along with Columbia Fire Department, responded to reports of a commercial structure fire in the 7000 block of St. Andrews Road. The fire occurred in a single level structure that contained several businesses. One business was heavily damaged, the other three were saved with minimal damaged. Fire apparatus blocked part of St. Andrews Road while crews worked the scene and commuters were advised to avoid the area. The businesses were unoccupied at the time of the fire. There were no injuries, and the cause is under investigation.
